If you’ve been reading here for a while, hello again! And if you’re new, I’m so glad you found your way here.
For years, this little corner of the internet was known as The Perennial Prepster, where I shared my love for timeless style, capsule wardrobes, and classic pieces that make getting dressed feel effortless. While those things are still a big part of who I am, life has changed quite a bit since I first hit “publish.”
A lot has changed
Over the past couple of years, our family has grown in more ways than one. In March, we found out we were pregnant with baby number four! With this shocking, yet joyful news, we knew we needed to move. We had officially outgrown our little starter home.
Just three days after finding out I was pregnant, I stumbled across the cutest four-acre farmette on Zillow, just thirty minutes away. So, we packed up our suburban home, traded it for life in the countryside, and are slowly making our early-2000s colonial feel like home.
Why The Change?
If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you’ve shared in many of these milestones with us already. But if you primarily know me through this blog, you might be wondering where I’ve been and why things look a little different around here.
The truth is, as my life changed, so did the things I wanted to write about.
I still love classic style just as much as I always have. I still believe in investing in timeless pieces, repeating outfits, and creating a wardrobe that makes everyday life easier.
But these days, I’m equally inspired by the rhythms of home, family dinners around the table, creating traditions with my children, renovating our home one room at a time, and finding beauty in the ordinary moments that fill our days.
It started to feel like this space had outgrown its name.
A New Chapter
So, welcome to Brooke Haskell.
This isn’t a departure from what I’ve built over the years—it’s an expansion of it. You’ll still find timeless style here, but you’ll also find homemaking, motherhood, home projects, recipes, seasonal traditions, and honest reflections on this wonderfully full season of life.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the last few years, it’s that life isn’t made up of the big milestones alone. It’s the ordinary days in between that shape us most. The mornings that start a little too early, dinner around the table, a fresh bouquet that brightens the kitchen, children helping bake cookies, and the familiar routines that slowly become family traditions.
Those are the moments I want to celebrate here, with you.
Whether you’ve been reading since the early days of The Perennial Prepster or you’re just discovering this space for the first time, thank you for being here. It means more than you know, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you.
So, hello again!
— Brooke
